因为准备参加今年11月的英语专科口语与听力考试,所以现在基本上每天都在听这套教材。我用的是06年5月新版的教师版,在每个Part前都会有个男声旁白,对下面Part的内容作概况性的描述与开场白,这段录音资料在课本里没有对应的文字资料,我把它们听写下来了,有需要的朋友可以作为参考。因为本人水平有限,有个别单词与短语听不出来,用红字标出来了。欢迎大家指正,共同交流!

Part I: Getting ready
With the development of sciences and technologies, the telephone is becoming more and more popular in our daily life. It is one of the most convenient and quickest ways of communication. We can use telephone to make or break social engagement to do our shopping and ordering and to obtain all kinds of informations. Telephones can save our feet and endless months of time. But giving nd receiving phone call requests quick responses and it's very important to get exact infomation from calls. To avoid misunderstandings, we should pay close attention to things like telephone numbers, times, days, addresses etc.

Part II: Giving and receiving phone calls
A. Most the time, when you dial a telephone number, your call go through with no problem. Sometimes, however, you are not able to go through and the reason is given by a recorded message.
B. People usually receive telephone calls unexpectedly. Sometimes, they have to make a note of the information contained in the call. Particularly when the call is for someone else.
Part III: I’d like to speak to…English speaking peoples usually speak very fast. They speak with the variate of accent and different styles of speech are used. So telephone calls can very easily lead to misunderstandings.

Listening comprehensive involves quick response and good memory. On most occasions, you are challenged to listen to the material only once or at most two times and grasp the most important information. Unit 2: Can I take a message? (II)
Part I: Getting ready
Some telephone calls will not get through without the help of the operator. For example, a person to person call and collect call, which would be paid for by the person who receives it. Sometimes, a long distance call and novice’s call will also be connected by an operator if it is not direct call.

Part II: Giving and receiving phone calls
A. Sometimes, even when the telephone call goes through, the caller’s still unable to speak to the person being called. Instead, the call might be answered by an machine. It’s more efficient to leave your name and call number than to waste your time calling again and again.
B. Message taking is one of the most useful skills in dealing with the telephone calls. A great deal of practice is needed in the expect.

A typical forecast gives the current temperature, relative humidity, wind direction, wind speed and barometric pressure with exact figures and also predict weather for the next few days with broad and general terms. The recording are changed several times a day.

The weather seems to be a favorite topic of conversation in Britain. This is not because it’s particularly interesting, but that is a safe subject that can be shared by everyone. It’s often used as a subject to open a conversation. The subject itself is not very important. What is important? It’s that the two persons are establishing contact.

The 24-hour o’clock is not commonly used in conversation. It is used specially in time table and some radio’s stations.
C. We can use a clock or a watch to mark the passing of time. But what time is it now? Clocks in different parts of world did not show the same time at the same time.

The time on the earth is set by the sun's position in the sky above. We all have a twelve o'clock noon each day. Nooning’s time when the sun is the highest in the sky. But when it is 12 o'clock noon where I am, it may be 10 o'clock at night where you are. So it is extremely important to know the local time while traveling.
Part III: Ladies and gentlemen
There are all kinds of announcements, airport announcements, railway announcements, waiting announcements, radio announcements, TV announcements, meeting announcements, etc. Time and place are usually the most important two features of the announcements.

When you travel by air, you usually know the departure time of your flight, the name of the airline your flight with and your flight number. Unit 6: By Bus or by Train?

If you are not travelling for a long distance, you can take train. We'll just more comfortable than a plane. If you want to wonder around the city, the buser will sis usually very helpful. Big city is generally have a rather extent system of bus lines. If you are afraid of the complicated bus routes. You can take a taxi. But taxies are very expensive in almost every city worldwide.
